Commission me

If you like my work and would like to commission me, here is what you need to provide with the photos you submit.

Make sure the area is well lit, preferably in natural daylight. I need to be able to see the eyes clearly as this is where your portrait comes alive.

The colour of the eyes and the coat need to match the true colours.

The reference needs to be in focus, if it is blurry and I can’t see the detail, I am restricted as to the amount of detail I can achieve within the portrait. I do appreciate some pets may no longer be with us and you may only have a few photos, that’s ok, you can send me what you have and I can let you know if I am able to do the portrait justice with what you have. I will always try my best.

Copyright, the reference photos you supply must have permission of the photographer in order to be used by myself.

I usually always work with Fabriano Artistico Hot pressed, extra white, watercolour paper. This is a very smooth paper and grabs the pencil really well, allowing me to lay down many layers which is necessary to achieve a realistic appearance.

My main pencils are Caran D’ache Luminance coloured pencils, these are very high quality and have the highest grade of lightfastness, ensuring your drawing is going to last a lifetime and more! I will at times use other pencils as needed if I require a specific colour. These pencils are also very high quality, mainly Faber Castell Polychromos. All materials I use are of the highest quality.

The drawing will be accompanied by a certificate of authenticity stating the name, materials used and my signature.
